FRANK TALK WITH FEMI OLANIPEKUN

The Osun State Government has reiterated its commitment to free education for students in primary and secondary schools across the state.

This commitment was restated by the Executive Chairman, Osun Basic Education Quality Assurance and Moralty Enforcement Agency, Dr. Ayodele Owoade who explained that free education means free tuition for all students in public secondary and private schools.

Dr. Owoade who stated this while featuring on Frank Talk, Rave FM’s News and Current Affairs interview programme, said parents under the aegis of parents teachers association, pta, however have the free hand to support the government  in any aspect of education by introducing levies to the students.

Dr. Owoade outlined the education policies of the present administration as he placed emphasis on the reclassification of schools which saw the merging of schools across the state.

According to him, schools reclassification has reduced hooliganism in schools; it has brought about completion, as students can now have 9 straight years of education without break, also, part of the reclassification plans was to provide a conducive environment as opposed to what obtained in the past where there were no facilities at the students’ disposal.

These amongst others are according to him, the achievements of the reclassification policy of the present administration.
